Skyes Freeman sat at the dinner table of his home, his newly bought laptop sitting before him, dressed simply in boxers, grey-camouflage jammies, a grey tank-top and socks, that were sliding around the linoleum floor of his kitchen. He'd just finished reading something about the recent news, some articles about some folks announcing they'd run for president in the next year, and others about pointless subjects, like celebrity break ups and rising interest in toothpaste sales. Skyes hadn't paid attention to those, other that the political news. The soft glow of his laptop screen added to the dim lamp, which sat by a radio, that played soft jazz music and filled the room with that 'at home' feel. Skyes sighed softly as he closed his laptop, and walked over to sit by the radio and lamp. He slid back into the soft chair, and considered lighting up one of his Cuban Cigars that sat in a wooden box by his chair, on the stand where the lamp and radio stood, before he felt an odd little sensation rush through his body. He'd felt it before, when he'd grown to a huge height a few weeks ago, and caused damage to a local state park and town, but not since then. But he knew something would happen again. He then began to notice that things were smaller around him, like his chair was a tighter fit than usual, and the wood that held it together was creaking. And his cloths, that were a snug fit around him, were now tighter, the fibers slowly expanding out as he grew. Well, if he didn't know what was going to happen before, he knew now. He stood from his chair, so it wouldn't break beneath him, and he just stood in the center of the room as he grew, his form becoming more distinct in his cloths now. His muscles and bones creaked and moaned, as he grew, though not as loudly as his cloths, and even the carpeted floor beneath him. He may break into the basement, he thought to himself, before something fast and thin smashed into the top of his head. He growled and cursed, and eventually found that the top of his head was now even with he ceiling fan, but that didn't last long as the rest of his head grew and grew. He eventually hit his head, startling his neighbors, and he cursed again. He knelt, mostly so the fan wouldn't hit his head anymore, but partially in the hopes that maybe he'd stop growing just before he filled the room. Small tears began to form in his cloths, at the sides of his tank-top and the seems of his pants and boxers. Little snaps were heard as the button on his jammies broke away, soon followed by the button on his boxers, and tears were heard as the V of his tank top expanded down his powerfully ripped chest and to his upper belly. Skyes mumbled to himself that his land lord would never believe this, and he considered trying to call him, just before his feet hit something that sounded very fragile. He looked back, to see that his left foot had crushed the radio table and chair between it and the wall, though the splinters of wood and metal didn't even pierce his now thicker skin. He swore again, and looked ahead, to see his head now entering the kitchen and pushing aside the dinner table, smashing it into the now shattering glass-sliding door, that led to his back patio. His shoulders soon reached the walls of his home, crushing the couch beneath them and pushing into the other wall, where the main door was, a 'clang' being heard as the door was forced outward, against it's bolt and lock. Skyes' head soon bumped into the kitchen wall, and he moaned just as his back hit the ceiling. Though this, his cloths struggled to hold, the holes widening as more and more strands snapped away. And as his back touched the wall, his tank top finally burst, tearing away as the straps snapped and as the V extended all the way down to his waist. The plaster walls and ceiling began to moan now, though the floor had already been screaming as it struggled to hold Skyes up. The next rip were his pants and boxers, and Skyes felt a slight blush as he heard someone knock on his door, to ask what was going on. He tried to answer, but he heard someone outside cry out in fear, obviously having seen Skyes' expanding form through the sliding glass door and windows of his apartment. Skyes muttered to himself that he'd need to get growth insurance as cracks began to form on the ceiling, dust falling and sprinkling his fur. As he continued to grow, the fire department had been called, and people began to flee the apartment complex, as their growing neighbor threatened to destroy their homes. The inner wall of his home, that led into the bathroom, gave way first, and Skyes' right shoulder burst into the tiny bathroom, breaking the sink, toilet and shower stall underneath it's girth. He felt water spray all over his shoulder, and he swore again. As the first of the fire trucks arrived, Skyes’ shoulders began to finally break the walls that separated his apartment from his next store ground neighbors and the outside, the walls bulging out before they finally collapsed outwards. His legs similarly bust through the wall they had been pushing against, and they easily smashed aside a car, Skyes' car, that had been parked just outside, along with a few other cars. Their theft alarms cried out to no one who cared, as people were still backing up from the apartment, and Skyes' head finally burst into his next neighbor's apartment. As a note to himself, he finally realized what was causing all that noise those neighbors were infamous for. They had a lot of birdcages. But those too were crushed underneath Skyes' growing self, and now the whole building began to moan under the strain of Skyes. Thankfully, there was no basement he could burst into. The fire trucks backed up as Skyes continued to expand out, his shoulders and torso busting down more walls and replacing the support they once gave to the upper levels with themselves. His lower body and legs did the same, smashing walls and crushing homes. The apartment was about six apartments long and three deep, with a courtyard pool area in the center of the apartment, which had been surrounded by rooms. Skyes' head had now dipped into the pool water, though even his nose was bigger and longer than the pool was large and deep (respectively). His shoulders had finally reached the far side of the courtyard, crushing those walls into those other apartments now and forcing their way in. He felt a chain link fence, that blocked off the outdoor pool from the parking lot, be crushed and ground under his massive feet. He wondered just how big he was, and, judging by how much space he now took up, he estimated that, if he stood, he'd be as tall as the apartment complex. But how do get out with out destroying the building, Skyes considered. He didn't want to destroy the whole thing... but he knew that even if he had slid out the sides, the apartment would just collapse as it slid off of him. Skyes sighed, and decided that he would stand, announcing that with his booming voice to the fire fighters. One of them, a younger man, had stepped into the hallway that led from the parking lot to the courtyard, locked eyes with Skyes, and the young human firemen nodded to him, and raced out to tell the others. The crowd backed up again, and Skyes took a deep breath. He told himself that he'd be okay, and that he was sure that no one would sue, and he lifted his arms up, sliding them up and, in the process, breaking into the upper floors with his elbows, and he readied himself. He then stood, and in one loud, violent crash, the apartment slid off his back and into the mostly empty parking lot, though cars and his legs had been underneath the rubble. He then stood up, dust and debris still descending from his body and filling up the pile of rubble at his feet. Skyes shook himself from more debris and dust, and he swore again. It did happen again, and it wasn't a dream. He felt all of those growing pains. He assessed the damage around him, concluding that his apartment complex was now completely gone, and he then looked to the other complexes around him. They only had minor damage, but the parking lot was also ruined, and blocked by a dozen and a half police and fire department vehicles. News vans and helicopters arrived on scene as well, to report about the growing man of the city, and Skyes grinned up to them and waved. At least, he thought, there would be something interesting in the local news in the morning.
I donno why I wrote this. Just thought about Skyes growing big, so I wrote it. I don't even know how to categorize this thing.
