"We are eternal. We will never die. We will not be forgotten. The war ended years ago. The galaxy had been torn asunder, but was now rebuilding. Societies rebuilt themselves, planets recolonized, cleaned up the radiation and remains of warships, tanks, and people. People forgot about the Grand Empire, and it’s powerful fleets and armies. People forgot, even after the people of the empire re-formed their Empire into a technocratic democracy, that many admirals, some the leaders of some of the most powerful fleets, were still out there, amongst the stars.
We opposed the formation of the new democracy. We were the survivors of the Old Empire; we led our fleets and armies into hiding, and waited for the perfect time to strike. There were measures by the galactic governments to take us down. The called us terrorists, radicals that needed to be dealt with. After a while, many people forgot about us, dismissed us a myth and legends. But we never forgot. And we will rebuild the Empire."
